ST Unitas launches 30-day diet program for employees

  • Before summer vacation season, ST Unitas set up a corporate wellness program offering various gifts to employees who successfully lost weight.

On July 10th, ST Unitas, an edutech company with brands such as Gongdangi and Engdangi, announced that before summer vacation season the company has launched a diet program titled “Three(x10)-Day Resolution”, which in Korean originally implies a short-lived resolution.

The diet program is a weight loss contest for employees which will be held for one month before the summer vacation season. ST Unitas explained that the company prepared such contest as there were many young employees interested in their appearance.

Employees wanting to participate in the program are required to fill out a registration form and submit a photo confirming his or her weight. After registration, they start to work on losing their weight for one month.

In order to have more employees participate and also have fun while taking part in the challenge, the company prepared various gifts as awards. All participants will be receiving a yoga mat, and the top three employees losing the most weight as well as the top three participants with the most impressive before and after pictures will be winning dining vouchers. Also the employee with the least change will be offered a weight loss meal box for one month as an encouragement, making the challenge more approachable for all employees.

Mr. Sehyun Ahn, the head of HR Innovation Division at ST Unitas, said “The program was launched to motivate perpetual dieters who continue to fail to lose weight although they set up plans every year. The challenge was well received as more than 100 eager participants signed up. At HR, more efforts will be made to support both the health and career of employees.”
